The 2nd National Copper Summit was successfully held on February 13, 2026, at the Süleyman Demirel Cultural Center of Istanbul Technical University (ITU) Ayazağa Campus. The Summit was organized under the auspices of the Istanbul Iron and Non-Ferrous Metals Exporters Association (IDDMIB), operating within the General Secretariat of the Istanbul Mineral and Metals Exporters' Associations, in cooperation with the Istanbul Chamber of Industry and the Kocaeli Chamber of Industry. Held under the theme “Strategic Power Driving the Future in Exports and Green Transformation,” the Summit highlighted copper — which was included in the “List of Critical Minerals of High Importance” by the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources in 2025 — as a strategic material shaping the future of sustainable industry and global trade. The event brought together leading representatives from the public and private sectors, academia, and industry to discuss: Türkiye and Global Copper Markets: Supply, Demand and Price Dynamics Green Transformation in the Turkish Copper Industry Sustainability, Emerging Technologies and Export Potential Evaluation and Roadmap Panel (Closed Session) As Sarbak Metal, we were proud to take part in this significant gathering. Our Vice Chairman of the Board, Ms. Arzu Kantay, our Plant Manager, Mr. Tuğhan Özçamsırtı, and our Sustainability Manager, Ms. Özge Deli, represented our company at the Summit.
