"Brass alloy (60% copper – 40% Zinc) is used abundantly in the taps, pumps, valves and armatures. In the classic brass material there is about 2 – 3% lead. This lead is dissolved in still and flowing natural-processed water. Today, the allowed limit value of the lead, which is very harmful for human health, in water is 10 units in a billion (10 ppb, 10 micrograms / liter) (AB – TS 265, 2005 standard). Commercial brass which contains high level of lead can never achieve this limit value."
